What Nooky makes

Our range is short: there is one lube, a clear, colorless and tasteless water-based gel, with no glycerin, parabens or petrochemicals, in a 16 or 32 fl oz pump bottle. And there are six massage oils in 16 fl oz pump bottles: lavender, orange blossom and geranium on sweet almond oil, and coconut, vanilla and unscented on coconut oil.

Every bottle is the same black pump bottle with the same lowercase wordmark, made to stand on a nightstand without announcing itself. Checkout, payment, delivery and returns happen with our retail partner after you press a buy button, not on this site.

Who reaches for a Nooky bottle

You might keep the lube by the bed because the gel is clear, has no taste and rinses off with water. You might use it with a toy, which our product notes say it is made for. You might pick an oil for a slow back massage on a Sunday evening, or the unscented one because a partner does not like perfume.

Whatever the reason, the label is the first thing to read. Our lube label says it has not been evaluated for condom compatibility, and our massage oils are oils, which weaken latex. Five of the six oils list a tree nut oil. Read those three facts before you buy, not after.

How to find your Nooky bottle

Start from what you want the bottle for. For sex and for toys, the water-based lube. For massage, one of the oils: an almond base if you want more glide under the hands, a coconut base if you want it lighter, and coconut or vanilla if nuts are a concern. Each product page gives you the full ingredient list, the directions and the warnings exactly as the label prints them.

Where a question touches your health, such as condoms, allergies or irritation, our guides quote the FDA, the CDC, the World Health Organization, the American Academy of Dermatology and the allergy organizations, and link what we read. A lube or an oil does not treat anything, and your doctor is the person to ask.

12 years of Nooky lube

Our water-based lube goes back to 2014 and still carries more ratings than anything else we make. The oils came after it, one scent at a time. The bottle and label changed along the way. The formula on the label did not.
